I’m grateful for the privilege of education and exposure.
Today I'm expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for the gift of education and exposure.
Often, we berate others for how they speak or how they think. We ignore the privileges that cultivated us into what we have bloomed to become today. Today, I want us to take a pause and reflect on the value of education and exposure and how they have shaped us to who we are today. Indeed we would realize how immensely privileged we are.
For me, the privilege of having access to formal education has been transformational, and I am constantly reminded of how fortunate I am to have such opportunity. I’m eternally grateful for the gift of educated parents too, and for the privilege of having parents who have financed my academic pathway, and are doing their best to catapult me towards my dreams. I’m grateful for the gift of their exposure and how it has rubbed off on me in making key decisions in my life.
I'm grateful for the gift of academic progress, and the intellectual capacity God has blessed me with to help me see myself through various stages. While I have not been the most exceptional, my education has ploughed a pathway to incredible opportunities for me. It has empowered me to challenge my limits, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills with each passing day. Through education, I have learned to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, gaining a fresher perspectives and insights about life.
I’m grateful for the privilege of studying law and joining the league of some of the brightest and noblest men God Almighty has graced this world with. My legal education has awakened my intellectual curiosity, challenged me to think differently, sharpened my tenuous grasps of life and has pushed me to pursue learning continuously. I’m grateful that I’m in a profession that allows me to make meaningful and visible contributions to society.
I’m grateful for the quality of minds I have met during the course of my academic journey. People of different cultures, personal values and outstanding personality. These experiences have shaped my perspective and have rooted my values firmly. Meeting people from different walks of life has enriched my life in many ways and has given me a broader outlook.
Although I still crave more opportunities to learn and develop, I however recognize that not everyone have had the same privilege. There are countless individuals who lack access to education and exposure, barricading themselves against a vast world of opportunities. As I reflect on this reality, I realize that I should make the best of every opportunity that comes my way. I pledge to use the opportunities the platform of education has provided me, to strive to make the world a better place, and also, to pay it forward.
